A thought experiment.

You are staring at your mobile screen reading this, thinking how long will it take to finish. You might have scrolled to bottom by now once.  Think it over, what enables you in reading the thoughts written here. It is for the reason that you have internet connectivity. This connectivity opens up the sack for music, cinemas, games, chats, and what sort you sought for. For certain, atleast once you might have thought this - 'What is aiding me to view the information in the spectacular device that i hold in my hands right now' but seldom you have thought about 'why can i not see these things around me' right??

A little science to back - The process of evolution : from a single cell organism to a stage where we can see and sense a part of the electromagnetic spectrum between 400nm and 700nm( visible light). Things we see around us is mere 0.0035% of the entire gamut of spectrum. Certain freshwater fish have an extended-spectrum and are receptive to lower frequencies -Infrared. Bats and a few rodents can detect higher frequencies - Ultraviolet - as well.

Our cellphones, Wi-Fi, GPS, and lot other systems use Radio frequencies(RF). Humans have used RF to communicate for over 100 years now. No living organisms are known, communicating each other using RF without technology. Recently, researchers from Europe have demonstrated biological cells cultured in petri dishes producing RF, the same signals that our mobiles work at. 

What if one day we could program our minds to widen the capacity of spectrum we sense, able enough to transduce the radio signals similar to a radio, tuning frequencies for music. 

What if we could communicate information, send and receive messages through air -Telepathy, we would name!!. I personally believe, there existed a civilization who were profoundly using these forbidden methods. 

What if we could watch those Netflix series closing our eyes in lieu of phones.

Laboratories are now equipped with technology that assists us in understanding the unexplored realms of the human brain. Researchers have discovered and proved the innate ability of the human mind to sense the magnetic field variations.  However, this virtue in us has not yet surfaced our consciousness mind, still strolling deep in the subconscious mind. The villain here is the gadgets that we use in our daily lives - earphones, mobiles, and other radiation-emitting devices. This distorts and drenches the superhuman in us. If we could foster this power we earthmates possess, it would have been Amazing right!!  Just like homing pigeons making use of earth's magnetic field as GPS.

What if, one day we could revive the dormant superhuman ability in each of us, so that we can travel around using our inbuilt compass for finding directions.

Evolution played its role to perfection, worked on the minute details, shining the most delicate intrinsics, helped us survive the extremities, and is still working mutating our genes to adapt to the beginning of those dark days to come. 

And what if we are characters in those chapters that are printed in the books of cosmos where we don't have the key to erase the contents - The deterministic world.
